Cute Christmas Cocktail Outfit

Hey everyone! We're half way through December and guess what? It's Christmas soon!! Am I the only one who feels this year has just flown? Anyway, since turning the big 18, I've been out a fair bit getting myself into the Christmas spirit! So I guess I thought I'd share with you one of my 'going out for cocktails' outfits... Faux Fur Boxy Gilet - Topshop  £65 Long Sleeved Turtle Neck - New Look £15 Leather Shorts - Zara  £20  Stone Contrast Faux Fur Bar Top Bag - New Look  £19.99 Necklace - A Mystery... This beautiful fur gilet is perfect for keeping me cosy and toasty in this freezing December weather! I bought it last year in petites as I preferred the more cropped fit. I couldn't resist buying this adorable little fur bag to match the cream fur; it's surprisingly spacious too! Teamed with black leather shorts and a pastel turtle neck, I feel it's a good cute yet edgy combo (ahah!). I thought this pretty pearly necklace

Jumping into my 18th in a Jumpsuit!

Hey everyone! So last weekend it was my 18th birthday (woop woop!), so I wanted to wear something sassy. Browsing through the Topshop website, a beautiful black jumpsuit caught my eye. I wasn't sure I'd pull it off, but I was too in love with it to not buy it... So it arrived, and I LOVED it! I love the elegance of the gathered sleeves and the v-neck line (it did seem quite low, but hey ho, you only turn 18 once!). I like how it isn't fitted, yet still singes in the waste with a cute detachable 'seatbelt' style belt (as I told my friends). Jumpsuit - Topshop £40 As you can imagine, I had to wear something to make my white chest look a bit less bare, so I decided  to pair my jumpsuit with a stunning multi-coloured rhinestone choker and a simplistic, delicate triple row gold necklace. My older sister was generous enough to let me borrow her beautiful Topshop black heeled sandals too!  Nails - No7 Stay Perfect Shade - Lovely Fuschia  Sq

Pastel Pink Perfection

Hey everyone! So the other week I was scrolling through the Missguided website and found this beauty... What can I say? It's got the faux fur lining, the silky suede fabric, and the pastel pink colour. It had my name written all over it, so of course, I had to buy it. As soon as I opened the package when it arrived, I snuggled myself into the super soft fabric and genuinely felt like a teddy bear. I've already had so many compliments on this beautiful jacket and I've only worn it twice! I can already tell it's going to be my Autumn/Winter staple. I was initially supposed to be looking for a practical coat for Winter, but given the option between practical or pastel? It's a no brainer ;) Let's just hope it doesn't rain! Pink Faux Shearling Coat - Missguided £49.99   Jumper - Topshop Jeans - Zara Skirt - Missguided £9.99 Shoes - Primark £12 Speak soon! Alex x

Choker Love

Hey Everyone! After settling back at sixth form, I came to notice the 'choker' craze going on. I suddenly saw so many girls wearing the same elasticated black choker around their necks. Despite the choker looking great on these girls, I wasn't particularly drawn to this 'edgy' look for me, therefore I was determined to find the perfect 'girly' choker. So I was having a casual browse around the jewellery stands in Topshop and such a pretty pearly cream flower choker with red/orange gem detail caught my eye... Initially, I thought they may clash with my hair, however I couldn't resist! It has definitely been my September stable and I will certainly be keeping an eye out for more. Cream Flower and Filigree Choker - Topshop £12.50 I love it! Speak soon, Alex x

Southwold Summer Outfits!

Hey everyone! So last week I stayed in a lovely small little town called Southwold in the county of Suffolk. My friend's family always rent out a different house whenever they go, and I had the honor of staying with them for 5 days! Because the weather was so lovely and sunny (yes, I got sun burnt...) I thought I'd share with you my 5 summer outfits! Outfit Number 1 - Travel Jumpsuit - Misselfridge £34 I never imagined myself in a jumpsuit, however after seeing this beautiful number in the sale in Misselfridge a few weeks ago, I couldn't resist. I thought it would be perfect for summer due to the loose fit around the leg keeping me nice and cool. The denim is very soft and light making it very comfy, hence why I wore it on the first and last day when I spent 3 hours on the train. I feel the V neckline teamed with the ankle grazer style and pretty pattern makes the jumpsuit very casual, although with a pair of wedges it could easily be dressed up! I wore this ju

Jolly Juju Jellies

As soon as the jelly craze hit the high street, I knew I couldn't resist buying these adorable baby pink Juju's and feeling about 5 again. Initially, I was drawn towards the baby blue heeled Juju's in Topshop, however I felt the exclusive Office maxi low pink ones were more practical and cute. I bought them in June knowing that I was going to get a lot of wear out of them over summer, and I certainly have so far. They are the perfect mix between flip-flops and sandals and I even like to wear them with Topshop frilled socks when it's a little cooler. I plan on wearing these beauties on my travels as they are just so comfortable and can jazz up any outfit! Exclusive Maxi Low Juju Jellies - Office £20 Speak soon, Alex x

Topshop Mom Jean Love

Hey everyone! So on this fine summer's day, I thought I'd share with you my love for my Topshop Mom jeans. I was very skeptical of Mom jeans at first, but after seeing this beautiful floral pair I just had to have them. I bought them a couple of months ago with the intention of wearing them on sunny days when it's just a little too cold for shorts, but a little too hot for thicker skinny jeans. I figured these were perfect summer jeans, hence the ankle grazer style and the not-so-fitted Mom-jean-style leg. The rips at the knees add a bit more edge to the pretty floral pattern whilst keeping my knees nice and cool! Yet I feel the more fitted high-waste of these jeans around my hips makes these jeans a lot more flattering! I love to wear these jeans with cropped tops (I am absolutely loving the high-neck crop tops they are selling in Miss Selfridge at the moment!), sandals, converse, and adding a pair of funky sunglasses and a cute little belt to finish the look. Is technology too much?

As technology continues to take over our world, I'm beginning to think; is it all really worth it? I don't feel technology is built for people like me. I came to this realisation the other week, when I had a slight accident with my iPhone 5s - by accident, I mean phone sliding out of my pocket and into the loo accident. As soon as I heard that sickening 'clunk' and 'splash' into the depths of the toilet, I knew it could only be one thing - my beautiful golden iPhone 5s. I wasn't insured. I tried leaving it in rice. I tried getting it fixed. It was no use. I was so disappointed - not because I'd lost all of my contacts, but because in my eyes, it's the best phone you can get, and I'd only had it 8 months! The only way of getting my precious iPhone back was to pay another £630 for a new one... But then I thought 'At the end of the day, it's just a phone.' - people managed to survive in the sixties without mobiles, and the sixties lo

The 'perks' of being ginger...

The season of Summer has approached, and I really have come to experience the many 'perks' of being ginger. Firstly, the freckles. I was rather satisfied with the amount of freckles I had in the Autumn/Winter seasons; just a few scattered around my nose that were not too prominent or overbearing. Then Spring arrived. I noticed a few more 'spring' to my forehead, but I could deal with this; nothing too drastic... Now Summer has hit me and BOOM. The little devils are everywhere. I feel like my whole face has turned into an army of freckles. They all just need to join together now so my face is all one colour. You never know, it may turn into a 'yes I'm tanned' sort of look... but I doubt that. ;) Yeah it's all good saying you can cover it up with foundation, but finding a perfect match for pale skin is impossible!! This brings me on to fake tanning - something gingers can NEVER do. Let's face it, it just looks stupid. Fair enough using some gradual

Exam Stress

Hey everyone! So it's that time of year where we're all stressing about exams, and I'll tell you now that A levels may possibly be the death of me. From doing my GCSE's last year, I swear my motivation to do anything has gone down hill. I'll try to revise for half an hour and before I know it, I'll be watching a video on YouTube, or I'll want to watch something on TV, or I'll suddenly have the urge to eat. It's shocking! Even now, when I should be revising, I'm writing a blog post! Please don't say I'm the only one who does this... Anyway, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that we shouldn't stress about exams, because they are not the be all and end all. A grade on a piece of paper does not show how great a person you are. I think it's so sad that our generation are left to feel that if they don't get good grades then they are going to fail in life. Yeah, grades can open doors and get you into university, but

Pretty, Pastel & Patent

I think I've found my spring-time staple. I have fallen in love with these adorable vintage-style shoes from Office. The buckle fastening and punch-hole detail are just so cute, whilst the pale pastel pink colour is perfect for the season leading up to summer. Despite initially seeing these shoes and thinking, 'oh my gosh they are adorable... but they are gonna kill my feet', they were just too lovely to leave and have been surprisingly comfortable. I love to wear them with pretty frilly socks (Topshop's are my favourite!), and ankle grazer jeans for 6th form, however I'm also planning to dress them up with either a cute dress or pencil skirt to wear out. Although these shoes are quite pricey, they are so versatile and beautiful and worth every penny! I have also recently bought some beautiful mint green sandals from Topshop for summer. As soon as I saw them I just had to have them. I like how they're sandals, but they still cover my toes (I don't like t

Frozen!

So I think I've found a new Disney favourite. You can never EVER be too old for Disney, and it never fails to make me 'aw' and smile at the screen like a soppy idiot! The new film Frozen is absolutely spectacular. My friend, Flo, had been nagging me to see it for the past month and after watching it with my Mum last week it has left me humming and singing 'Let it go!' ever since! I loved the story line and thought it reminded me of me and my sister. I'd say it's just as amazing as/if not better than Tangled, so if you love that then you're gonna love this! Without giving anything away, it's a lighthearted film suitable for everyone which you'd be a fool to miss! Speak soon, Alex x P.S. You know it's a good Disney film when your eyes start to water... I even bought the songs...

Creamy Candy Craze

Hey everyone! I always thought it was pointless wasting money on smelly stuff which literally ended up down the plug hole, however these last few months have made me realise how completely wrong I was. Since starting sixth form, I've started purchasing the odd Lush product (which I never thought I'd end up doing), and I have found something which is absolutely amazing - the 'Creamy Candy' bubble bar. Not only is the cute flower and pastel pink design just adorable, but the smell is just so... it's just one of those delicious scents (hence the vanilla extracts), where you could almost eat it as it just smells so good. It's so sweet and girly, yet subtle, relaxing and not overpowering. It was by far the most delicate and lovely scent of all the bubble bars in the shop! After receiving the Penguin bubble bar from Lush for Christmas, I'd decided that bubble bars are a wiser option to go for rather than bath bombs, especially when you're prone to dry s

Tourist Snaps

Hey everyone! The other day I was casually walking through town, when it suddenly hit me that there were so many tourists in the city taking pictures. This is not a problem whatsoever, however when you realise that part of your body (whether it's the back of your head, foot or face) is in one of these pictures, I immediately wonder where it is actually gonna end up. Just think how many pictures we are all in without even realising! A couple in China, for example, could be reflecting on a lovely picture of them that was taken on Lendal bridge in York, and then they'll look closer and see this random ginger girl in the background, pulling a not so attractive facial expression, whilst trying to prevent the sun in her eyes - this girl, of course, being me. So next time you go shopping, or walk through a busy public place, watch out for those tourist snaps - you never know where you'll end up! Speak soon, Alex x

Tacky Teddies?

Hey everyone! Is it just me, or has Valentine's Day become some sort of massive hype this year? It's so much more of a bigger thing than it used to be (okay I sound like an old woman right now), but why do we all make such a big deal out of it? I think when you're single, you realise how much lovey dovey shizzle there is everywhere, but it just makes me think; why on earth would you spend so much money on some cheap tacky teddy bear when you could buy a beautiful bag... or dress... or even just a tasty box of chocolates for your girlfriend?! By the way guys, I am not against Valentine's Day whatsoever. I'm all for sending cards and sharing the love... however I will never be a lover of the tacky teddies. Speak soon! Alex x
