The Legendary Ricky... and Pranks (of course)

Hello Everyone! So today I'm going to take a moment to remember our good friend Ricky. He brought out the inner madness in everyone. He made everyone smile at the mucky carpet, lust at the mouldy kitchen, love the bare brick walls and laugh at the one toilet shared between six people which blocked every week (and even overflowed at one point). Because despite the place being an absolute shithole, there was something so special and euphoric about it that made you think there was absolutely no place you'd rather be. With only one year left of Uni, I'm feeling all nostalgic and am going to reflect on a very happy time in my life... this being within the heart and soul of Richardson Road. I know it was over a year ago now, but I'm sure I can't be the only one who looks back at those unforgettable Ricky moments without either giggling to myself at how crazy it was, or without my heart breaking a little because of it being no longer there. Don't get me wrong, Jesm...

How to cure that HANGOVER

Hello Everyone! So we've all said 'oh I'm not gonna get that drunk tonight'... then a bottle of wine, 2 trebs and a whole array of bev you can't remember you've drank later, you're on the floor puking your guts out in the smoking area of the club, with your best mate laughing and taking videos of you. Yeah we've all been there, and it only ends up one way; with a throbbing headache the next day, regretting your life decisions, and a corker of a hangover that feels like the END. Do not panic! In this post, I'm gonna share with you my five ways to get you feeling your usual perky self again! Step 1: Have a drink There's nothing better than a cold pint of water when you wake up dehydrated after a night of drinking. When I'm hungover, Lucozade always seems to sort me out (forget the bottles, the cans are wayyy better!). A cup of tea is never a bad shout either hehe. Step 2: Go to the loo for a number 2 Think this goes without saying. ...

I'M BACK!

Hello Everyone! I am writing this post to tell you all that I AM BACK! I'd like to apologise for my complete lack of blogging over the past what 16 months?! The explanation for this is basically coming to Uni. I CANNOT believe I am now a second year! It's true what they say about first year absolutely flying by. I decided to stop writing blog posts in my first year as to be honest I felt I didn't have time! Coming from little teeny cutesy York to the legend that is Newcastle has definitely been a jerk to the system. Meeting so many amazing people and adjusting to a degree takes time. It's all been very intense! Oh, and of course, the one big fat thing that's got in the way has of course been 'THE SESH' (as sad as that sounds...) hahaha. The past few months I've really missed writing and blogging, so I'm determined to bring my blog back to life with some fun Lexy ramblings... Lots of love, Alex x

University? Yes... No... YES

Hey Everyone! So it's nearing the end of summer now, and woah it's been absolutely amazing! I've been so busy with friends and family; hot-tubbing it up in Keldy Forest with a few of my favourite girlfriends from Sixth Form, partying hard on the strip in Zante, living it up in Majorca with the fam, and going crazy at Leeds fest with my work gals. This wild summer has resulted in a severe lack of posts on my blog, so I'm sorry guys. HOWEVER, in THIS post, I'd like to inform you all about my brand new adventure which will be commencing at the end of September... at NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY! I was always very unsure about whether I wanted to go to university. Despite all the pressure there is at sixth form/college to go, you ultimately have to be selfish and think about what YOU want to do. I always knew that I wanted to go to experience the student life, but I just wasn't sure whether 1) I wanted to take a gap year first rather than jumping straight into studyi...

Summer Ballin'

Hey Everyone! So it's the start of July... which means it's finally the start of SUMMER!!! What better way to get the party started than with an end of Sixth Form Summer Ball eh? Yes, you guessed it, in this post I'm going to share with you what I wore to my leavers' ball... Arguably to many girls, finding the perfect prom dress is like trying to find a four-leaf clover; many girls try so hard to find it, but some end up giving up and going for that dress that 'will do' (or in this case, the clover with three leaves with one split in half to make it look like four...). Other girls however are lucky, and find it straight away. My ball dress, I feel, was my four-leaf clover. I was scrolling through the ASOS website not expecting to find anything I liked, but as soon as I saw this dress, I knew it was the one. Because my ball was at the beginning of July in the Museum Gardens in the centre of York, I wanted something that was pretty, y...

The Important Lessons I've Learnt Through Learning to Drive

Hey Everyone! Before I begin this post, I would advise you to read my previous 'Learning to Drive: A Demoralizing Burden?' post to get an idea of how much of a 'demoralizing burden' that I thought driving really was. HOWEVER... After what has seemed like a very long roller coaster of a driving journey, I can finally say that I have passed my test, and it really is about blooming time too! Cheeky 'I've just passed my driving test' selfie with my lil' bro... Don't ask about the 'Despicable Me' keyrings... In fact, I tell a slight porky... I actually passed my driving test at the end of April... but driving around in lil' Pepper (mine and my sister's Peugeot 107) really has made me realise that it's when you've passed your test that you REALLY learn how to drive, therefore I thought I'd share my experiences with you all, Since being insured, I've had a couple of small bumps in the car which have scared t...

Sassy Trackies

Hey Everyone! Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my lack of posts recently... I seem to have gotten extremely busy what with A levels (sigh) and what not. However, it's now half term and I finally have time to write a post for you (or maybe I'm just procrastinating from the revision which I really SHOULD be doing... but... hey ho). Anyway, BACK TO THE POINT; through the past spring-time months, I've been out and about for friends' birthdays, celebrating the last days of school life (feel like such an oldie) and just generally having a good time to try and free myself from the pressure of A levels. This has led me to buy numerous new clothing items to wear on a night out... and I feel one of my favourite items has to be my Topshop 'sassy trackies'... Necklace - New Look Top - H&M Bag - River Island 'Sassy Trackies' - Topshop Shoes -  New Look Watch - Debenhams     Although I say so myself, I do love this outfit......
