I'M BACK!

Hello Everyone!

I am writing this post to tell you all that I AM BACK!

I'd like to apologise for my complete lack of blogging over the past what 16 months?!

The explanation for this is basically coming to Uni. I CANNOT believe I am now a second year! It's true what they say about first year absolutely flying by. I decided to stop writing blog posts in my first year as to be honest I felt I didn't have time! Coming from little teeny cutesy York to the legend that is Newcastle has definitely been a jerk to the system. Meeting so many amazing people and adjusting to a degree takes time. It's all been very intense! Oh, and of course, the one big fat thing that's got in the way has of course been 'THE SESH' (as sad as that sounds...) hahaha.

The past few months I've really missed writing and blogging, so I'm determined to bring my blog back to life with some fun Lexy ramblings...

Jumping into my 18th in a Jumpsuit!

Hey everyone! So last weekend it was my 18th birthday (woop woop!), so I wanted to wear something sassy. Browsing through the Topshop website, a beautiful black jumpsuit caught my eye. I wasn't sure I'd pull it off, but I was too in love with it to not buy it... So it arrived, and I LOVED it! I love the elegance of the gathered sleeves and the v-neck line (it did seem quite low, but hey ho, you only turn 18 once!). Aus Adventure: Welcome to Travel

Hello Everyone, I hope you’re all safe and well during these very strange times. I am currently living at Spot X Surf Camp on the East Coast of Australia during the COVID 19 pandemic. It’s a weird feeling being at the other side of the world during all of this madness, but I figured I would use this time to reflect on my Australian journey. I’m sure there are so many people so eager to travel when all of this is over, so I thought I’d return to my blog and write up a cheeky post reflecting on my first couple of weeks in Melbourne pre-lockdown. I always knew I wanted to work and travel in Australia, but I just had no idea where to even start with organising it, especially seeing as I knew I was travelling on my own (scary times). Tacky Teddies?

Hey everyone! Is it just me, or has Valentine's Day become some sort of massive hype this year? It's so much more of a bigger thing than it used to be (okay I sound like an old woman right now), but why do we all make such a big deal out of it? I think when you're single, you realise how much lovey dovey shizzle there is everywhere, but it just makes me think; why on earth would you spend so much money on some cheap tacky teddy bear when you could buy a beautiful bag... or dress... or even just a tasty box of chocolates for your girlfriend?! By the way guys, I am not against Valentine's Day whatsoever. I'm all for sending cards and sharing the love... however I will never be a lover of the tacky teddies. Speak soon! Alex x
