The Important Lessons I've Learnt Through Learning to Drive

Hey Everyone! Before I begin this post, I would advise you to read my previous 'Learning to Drive: A Demoralizing Burden?' post to get an idea of how much of a 'demoralizing burden' that I thought driving really was. HOWEVER... After what has seemed like a very long roller coaster of a driving journey, I can finally say that I have passed my test, and it really is about blooming time too! Cheeky 'I've just passed my driving test' selfie with my lil' bro... Don't ask about the 'Despicable Me' keyrings... In fact, I tell a slight porky... I actually passed my driving test at the end of April... but driving around in lil' Pepper (mine and my sister's Peugeot 107) really has made me realise that it's when you've passed your test that you REALLY learn how to drive, therefore I thought I'd share my experiences with you all, Since being insured, I've had a couple of small bumps in the car which have scared t...

Sassy Trackies

Hey Everyone! Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my lack of posts recently... I seem to have gotten extremely busy what with A levels (sigh) and what not. However, it's now half term and I finally have time to write a post for you (or maybe I'm just procrastinating from the revision which I really SHOULD be doing... but... hey ho). Anyway, BACK TO THE POINT; through the past spring-time months, I've been out and about for friends' birthdays, celebrating the last days of school life (feel like such an oldie) and just generally having a good time to try and free myself from the pressure of A levels. This has led me to buy numerous new clothing items to wear on a night out... and I feel one of my favourite items has to be my Topshop 'sassy trackies'... Necklace - New Look Top - H&M Bag - River Island 'Sassy Trackies' - Topshop Shoes -  New Look Watch - Debenhams     Although I say so myself, I do love this outfit......

Winter Wardrobe Favourites

Hey everyone! January is almost over (which I can't quite believe...) and I figured I ought to write something a little more upbeat after my previous depressing driving post... so the chilly weather prompted me to talk about (and show you) a few winter favourites in my wardrobe at the minute (excuse the posey piccies)... Dr. Martens -  Schuh Coat -  Topshop Scarf -  Topshop Skirt - Primark Gloves -  New Look Bag -  Next My ultimate winter favourite so far has to be my beautiful pastel pink Dr. Martens... I have searched for a pair of these boots to be in my size for SO long! I searched and searched and searched and was just having no luck; my size was continually 'out of stock'. Anyhow, me being me on Christmas day, browsed through the many sales online, and to my surprise, found one pair, in my size in the SALE on the Schuh website! I couldn't quite believe my luck and ordered them immediately. I LOVE THEM! Don't get me wron...

Learning to Drive: A Demoralizing Burden?

There's a test that most of us take in life which is completely different to going into a hall full of lined up individual desks and chairs. It's a test where you're not clenching that plastic wallet full of pens just in case one decides to run out as the hands on the clock tick down that final menacing minute. It's a test where you can't flick back through a paper to make sure you've answered every question. A test where you can't look back and scribble out a mistake. It's a test where everything around you affects your success, and ultimately whether you pass or fail. Of course, I am talking about the dreaded driving test. I've thought about writing a blog post about this for a while now, but after failing my test for the THIRD time, I figured there wasn't a more appropriate opportunity. I am not a negative person. However, learning to drive can be a life ruiner. Not only does it gobble up time and money, but failing the test is demoralizin...

Cute Christmas Cocktail Outfit

Hey everyone! We're half way through December and guess what? It's Christmas soon!! Am I the only one who feels this year has just flown? Anyway, since turning the big 18, I've been out a fair bit getting myself into the Christmas spirit! So I guess I thought I'd share with you one of my 'going out for cocktails' outfits... Faux Fur Boxy Gilet - Topshop  £65 Long Sleeved Turtle Neck - New Look £15 Leather Shorts - Zara  £20  Stone Contrast Faux Fur Bar Top Bag - New Look  £19.99 Necklace - A Mystery... This beautiful fur gilet is perfect for keeping me cosy and toasty in this freezing December weather! I bought it last year in petites as I preferred the more cropped fit. I couldn't resist buying this adorable little fur bag to match the cream fur; it's surprisingly spacious too! Teamed with black leather shorts and a pastel turtle neck, I feel it's a good cute yet edgy combo (ahah!). I thought this pretty pearly necklace...

Jumping into my 18th in a Jumpsuit!

Hey everyone! So last weekend it was my 18th birthday (woop woop!), so I wanted to wear something sassy. Browsing through the Topshop website, a beautiful black jumpsuit caught my eye. I wasn't sure I'd pull it off, but I was too in love with it to not buy it... So it arrived, and I LOVED it! I love the elegance of the gathered sleeves and the v-neck line (it did seem quite low, but hey ho, you only turn 18 once!). I like how it isn't fitted, yet still singes in the waste with a cute detachable 'seatbelt' style belt (as I told my friends). Jumpsuit - Topshop £40 As you can imagine, I had to wear something to make my white chest look a bit less bare, so I decided  to pair my jumpsuit with a stunning multi-coloured rhinestone choker and a simplistic, delicate triple row gold necklace. My older sister was generous enough to let me borrow her beautiful Topshop black heeled sandals too!  Nails - No7 Stay Perfect Shade - Lovely Fuschia  Sq...

Pastel Pink Perfection

Hey everyone! So the other week I was scrolling through the Missguided website and found this beauty... What can I say? It's got the faux fur lining, the silky suede fabric, and the pastel pink colour. It had my name written all over it, so of course, I had to buy it. As soon as I opened the package when it arrived, I snuggled myself into the super soft fabric and genuinely felt like a teddy bear. I've already had so many compliments on this beautiful jacket and I've only worn it twice! I can already tell it's going to be my Autumn/Winter staple. I was initially supposed to be looking for a practical coat for Winter, but given the option between practical or pastel? It's a no brainer ;) Let's just hope it doesn't rain! Pink Faux Shearling Coat - Missguided £49.99   Jumper - Topshop Jeans - Zara Skirt - Missguided £9.99 Shoes - Primark £12 Speak soon! Alex x
